A sweet friend asked me to design something she wasn’t sure could be done - a thin, dainty bracelet, with birthstones and engraved initials, with harmonious colors. Her color has always been light aqua blue, and we nailed it.
We chose different cuts of stones for each member of the family, set in a rose and thorn setting with tiny engraved initials on the back. I often hear people lament over birthstone pieces because the color of their birth months are not their favorites. Most stones, though, have different colors or shades of color that can be played with to create a beautiful palette.
This bracelet consists of two blue topaz, one blue zircon, one light green emerald and one light green tourmaline. How would you mix and match birthstones in your family? Email me with your ideas!
